Solved known issues and recommendations about upgrades, Q3 2022

AARO’s recommendation on Upgrades – AARO & AARO Lease IFRS 16:

  • We at AARO always recommends you as a customer to upgrade to the latest version (Major and CPV), this to ensure that you take advantage of the latest bug fixes, as well as new functionality.
  • An upgrade to AARO23 CPV2 is our strong recommendation. In AARO23 we have new functionality that is not available in AARO22 and AARO21.

Please note that with the release of AARO23 we no longer maintain AARO21, meaning we do not fix found issues.

Contract revision can have no contract linked showing UNDEF for contract name

Are you affected?
If you use AARO Lease IFRS 16.

Issue:
A contract revision can be created not linked to any contract showing UNDEF for contract name due to an issue allowing to create revisions in a closed period. It happens when a contract is edited and saved in a closed period within the same year it is created or has a revision. In this case the new contract revision is created not linked to the contract and showing UNDEF for contract name in future periods.

Release note:
Now any changes in contract data are restricted in closed periods. Whenever you see UNDEF contracts created in previous CPVs, please contact AARO Support.

Periods depreciation is removed when using the Divest button

Are you affected?
If you are using the Divest button.

Issue:
There is a limitation in using the Divest button when it comes to depreciation for the period. When performing an external divestment using the divest button the deferred tax will not be correctly reversed in excess value.

Release note:
Now the deferred tax is reversed correctly when performing an external divestment.

Publish utility does not work properly

Are you affected?
If you use the Publish utility to convert results of formulas to static values.

Issue:
There is a regression in AARO23 regarding how Publish utility converts results of formulas to static values. Values may loose their separators and be changed.

Release note:
Now values with separators are converted correctly using the Publish utility.

Contract table field Status does not consider the active depreciation end date.

Are you affected?

If you use AARO Lease IFRS 16.

Issue:

Contract table column field Status does not consider the active depreciation end date but the active contract end date only. It shows status Expired by the contract end date even when the depreciation end date has not been reached yet. This is going to be adjusted to consider both dates, the active contract end date and the active depreciation end date.

Release note:

Now contract status is defined based also on the active depreciation date.Ref. No: 12147.

Dispose button is to be deactivated until replaced by new button Divest in AARO23

Are you affected?
If you dispose companies internally or externally.

Issue:
The Dispose button used to perform an internal or external disposal of companies has issues reported in KI 9280. It was deactivated in AARO21 CPV3.1 but then appeared active again in later versions and CPVs. We do not recommend to use this button in AARO21 and AARO22 due to multiple issues and will deactivate it in next CPVs. The new button Divest will be introduced in AARO23 that will replace the Dispose button.

Release note:
Now the Dispose button is deactivated to prevent issues reported in KI9280. We recommend to perform the dispose of companies manually. Please contact AARO Support.

Import of contracts when Interest rate is empty

Are you affected?
If you import lease contracts from Excel.

Issue:
There is an issue in the contract import Excel file when the column ’Restoration cost interest rate’ is empty or has a reference to the ’Interest Rate’ sheet and the ’Interest Rate’ sheet is empty. An error occurs on import in this case.

Release note:
A warning message with the detailed description appears if mandatory information is missing in the Excel template. We recommend to enter 0 in the ’Restoration cost interest rate’ column to import 0% as onward or refer to the ’Interest Rate’ sheet that should have entered information.

Selection in Recurrent types in Copy Period is not applied correctly

Issue:
There is an issue with journals copied incorrectly. When ’None Recurrent’ recurrent type is selected in the Copy Period dialog, recurrent journals only are copied. When ’Only Recurrent’ option is selected then recurrent and non-recurrent journals are copied.

Release note:
Now journals are copied according to the selection made:

  • non-recurrent journals only when ’None Recurrent’ option is selected.
  • recurrent journals only when ’Only Recurrent’ option is selected.
